RE'MY MARTIN (m)
DOB Sept. 19, 1997
ARI#: 801173
Dam: PPERUVIAN ANGELICIA
Sire: PERUVIAN ORO
"Pugs" as we call him, is a proven stud, giving us perfect crias in every color from black to silver to dark browns and the usual fawns and whites. He is one of those desirable males that always gives the dam’s color yet provides incredible improvement in fleece qualities, and gives the offspring the heavy topknot, and heavy bone structure with full coverage. Pugs has perfect conformation, and has maintained a great fleece all of these years. Pugs came by his nickname "Pugsly" because he has a very macho attitude and has held top status here in a large group of studs here. Our breeding males all live together and do an amazing job of getting along, but keeping the girls away from the fence helps as well! Go for Pugs if you want quick results for a picture perfect, colored cria.

MMR PEPANO (m)
DOB Mar. 19, 2000
ARI#: 824622
CLAA#: CAN21224
Dam: JOLIMONT 2 PERUVIAN PEPITA IMB98
Sire: JOLIMONT 2 PERUVIAN IVANO IMPB98
Pepano is a new bloodline for the area. We went to Canada for him in the fall just after 9/11. He is a heavy boned, perfectly structured male, with full fleece coverage. His fleece is a completely different style than Orions’, more of the merino-type with a lot of fine crimp and loft combined with extreme density. This is one of those fleeces that just become enormous when you get it off the alpaca-it hardly fits in to any size bag! Peppy has the sweetest, calmest personality, a trait passed onto his offspring so far. The crias have been exceptional, great crimp, density and luster on all, and with very long staple lengths. So far he has good promise for throwing color. Bred to Orion’s dam, he produced a gorgeous fawn with taupe markings. We are very happy with Pepano, and know you would be as well.

Orion is the ultimate breeding male. At 13 months age, his micron was 16.0/ SD 3.0/ CV 18.7 with 0.4 % over 30! At age 38 months his micron has held at 20.4/ SD 4.1/ CV 20.2 and 2.7% over 30. You can look at his dam’s fleece performance and be reassured that Orion has one of the best genetic profiles out there. His first crias are on the ground now, and can verify his performance. Orion has perfect conformation, great leg length (some get a little too stocky for my eye) and fleece that has the maximum luster, handle, silkiness, uniformity and extreme crimp from his topknot to his tail and even down onto his legs. Coverage is full, and we shear evenly from topknot to toes every year, so there is never more than one year’s growth on our animals at any time. We also don’t mess around with any show trims- bib, neck, leg or topknot-what you see is the way the animal was intended to be. The best proof is in the crias, and to get your hands on his fleece! He also offers unusual genetics for our area.

Dude was one of those males, that born here, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to part with him. He has the fabulous luster I value so highly, deep crimp, and a rich chocolately brown color not often seen. I always referred to him as "velvety" but now I know just what fleece characteristic accounts for that. His micron was a good average at 25.9 but the SD was 4.4 and the CV a terrific 17.2%! Angus McColl states that any CV under 20 is great, and we are way into the terrific zone with Dude! His CV has held at under 18% so we are very pleased. Dude has crias due this spring, and we can hardly wait to see what he does for us. An added benefit to Dude is he comes from a maternal line that produces prodigious amounts of milk. Milk production is one of the most highly inheritable traits, yet one of the most difficult to breed into or correct in animals. So start off right using males with this proven trait, and save yourself a lot of headaches down the road.

CLASSIC CAR BUMPER (m)
DOB Oct. 6, 1997
ARI#: 800121
Dam: 31ARS6972 KATRINA
Sire: PPERUVIAN MONZON G4549
Bumper is a spectacular dark rose grey, who won first place at Estes Park Wool Market the first time he showed. Bumper has a very exaggerated crimp, which he passes on to his offspring. His fleece is extremely dense and spins up beautifully. We have had every color cria from Bumper and all have been winners in their classes. He is a great combination for those soft, lustrous fleeced females who need density and character added to their gene pool. Again, all of our males must have perfect conformation and good size before we add them to our stud lineup.

SOQO (m)
DOB Aug. 11, 1999
ARI#: 815969 (Suri)
Dam: PERUVIAN LILLY W671
Sire: MARCONA (True Black Suri)
Soqo, or Silky as we call him, is an extremely lustrous gold suri with beautiful fine fiber. He has one maroon spot. We don't really focus on raising suris, but I have 2 nice white females and wanted some color to breed to them. Silky should fit the bill very nicely. We love his fleece, but haven't worked up the nerve to try to spin any of it yet! It will go to DVA for processing, and we are certain they will do a beautiful job for us. We will have that yam on hand to show Silky's worth soon. One of the great qualities that convinced us to buy Silky was his nice temperament, of course, if you see him moving about on a sunny day, the pure gold hanging on him is a great persuader as well.
