HERDSIRE PROGRAM AT JEFFERSON FARMS.
We, at Jefferson Farms Alpacas and Llamas, guarantee every cria to be free from defect, and have a live birth guarantee of 30 days post-partum or a free re-breeding will be done.
During your dam’s stay at our farm, all services are included (toenail trimming, vaccinations, wormings for dam and cria; if needed) and pregnancy testing is included in the stud fee, for a period of 90 days. If a dam fails to get pregnant in the first 45 days, we will recommend the dam be tested, at owner’s expense, for a fertility work up. We will arrange that with our usual vet, or the alpaca can be transported to the home vet at owner’s option and expense. Our goal is to provide the best service and care for your alpaca, and to ensure a good pregnancy. Any past customers of Jefferson Farms, having purchased alpacas from us, regardless of the price of that animal, is entitled to _ price stud fees and boarding discounts. We do not charge birthing fees for any animals boarded with us. Board includes all routine services such as toenail trimming, vaccinations and wormings. Owners are responsible for all vet fees associated with their animals, but will be pro-rated or shared as much as possible to minimize cost. Jefferson Farms reserves the right to call in Vet services, at our discretion for the best care of the alpaca, and the owner will be responsible for such expenses. Your alpaca will receive the exact same care as do our own. We will work with you on any special supplemental needs or health care issues for your alpaca. All new arrivals will be quarantined for a period of 2 weeks before joining the main herd.
If you have ever been to our farm, you know we do our best for you. If at all possible we will take your alpaca home, at no charge, if the distance is reasonable (less than 150 miles) and we have time to do so. Service is our mantra, and we try to include as much as possible without having to add any extra fees. We hope you have time to visit our farm some day, and know you will be impressed with the healthy, happy environment we provide for our animals.
